1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of the CarSense mobile app ("the app"), published by Yassine Hai (individual). By installing or using the app, you accept these terms.

2. Service description

CarSense is an automotive diagnostic assistance tool that:

• connects to an OBD-II adapter (ELM327 Wi-Fi) to read vehicle data;
• displays live values, reads and clears trouble codes (DTC);
• offers AI-based analysis (conversational assistant);
• records drives and generates reports.

3. Important disclaimer — decision support, not a mechanical verdict

• Do not perform any mechanical work based solely on the information provided.
• If you have any doubt about your vehicle's safety, stop the vehicle and consult a professional.
• Clearing trouble codes (DTC) removes potentially important information, can mask a real problem, and may affect safety systems. You do so at your sole risk.
• Do not use the app while driving. All interaction must occur with the vehicle stopped.

4. OBD-II adapter conditions

The app requires a compatible OBD-II adapter (not included). Compatibility depends on the vehicle and adapter; no universal compatibility is guaranteed. Leaving an adapter plugged in permanently may drain the vehicle's battery.

5. Subscriptions

• Free: core features, with an AI assistant usage quota.
• Pro and Max: paid subscriptions (monthly or yearly) unlocking advanced features, with a 7-day free trial.
• Payments, renewals and cancellations are handled by Apple via the App Store. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 h before the end of the period. Management and cancellation happen in your Apple account settings.
• No refunds are processed by the publisher; requests are handled by Apple.

6. Intellectual property

The app, its design, content and trademarks belong to the publisher. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive license to use it. Unauthorized reproduction or reverse engineering is prohibited.

7. Availability and changes

The app may be updated, modified or discontinued. The AI service depends on third-party providers (Anthropic, Cloudflare, Apple) and an internet connection; uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the publisher shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages (including vehicle damage, repair costs, data loss) arising from use of the app or interpretation of the information provided. The app is provided "as is".

9. Personal data

Data processing is described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to consumer rights.
